MCSD will be closed on November 11th in observance of Veteran's Day. Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans - living or dead, but especially recognizes living veterans who served honorably during war or peacetime.

This morning, very early before the start of the school day, an individual illegally entered the Riverside school building.
Our dedicated staff discovered the individual very quickly and immediately notified the local police department. The police arrived promptly and secured the building.
Following the incident, the school building was thoroughly searched and secured by law enforcement and administrative personnel. At this time, we can confirm that the building is completely secure, and there is no ongoing threat to our students or staff.
Student Safety and School Operations
We want to assure you that the safety and well-being of our students remain our highest priority. School will proceed as scheduled today. We will have an increased administrative and security presence throughout the day.
We appreciate the swift action of our staff and the quick response from the police department.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we maintain a safe learning environment for everyone.

In case you missed it, our gymnasium floor has received a much-needed upgrade just in time for Homecoming Week! Thanks to our community's generosity, students and organizations will be able to benefit from this change for years to come. Yesterday, our students hosted a time-honored Riverside tradition, Macho Volleyball, on the brand-new floor.
