We are excited to introduce Chris Hull to Riverside Jr./Sr. High School for the 2023-24 school year! Chris will be teaching Business Education for grades 7-12. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon and his Master's from Eastern Oregon University. Originally from Pendleton, Chris enjoys hiking and his favorite dinner is jambalaya. With diverse experience ranging from teaching English in Ecuador to working in Financial Advisory and Retail Management, Chris is eager to make a positive impact on his students. He did his student teaching in Umatilla, OR. He's excited to bring his unique blend of skills and experiences to his role. He’s looking to meeting so many new students and learning more about the wonderful things Boardman has to offer. Something new he’d like to tackle is starting a Future Business Leaders of America chapter at Riverside.

Join us in welcoming Blaine Gibbs to Heppner Jr/Sr High School for the 2023-24 school year! Blaine will be teaching SPED classes. He holds a degree in Psychology from Boise State University. Originally from Redmond, his hobbies include snowboarding, frisbee golf, and any outdoor activity that gets him moving. He has four younger brothers, which led him to work in education. With a background as an Instructional Assistant in Cascade Locks, he's eager to connect with a new community and embrace a change of pace from city living. Something he’d like to try in the future is coaching for personal and professional development.

She holds a Bachelor's degree from Corban University and a Master's from Western Governors University. Originally from Harpster, Idaho, Dominique enjoys reading, swimming, baking, and gardening. Her refreshment of choice is coconut water, and her go-to dish is pizza. Her teaching experience includes 3 years in a 4th grade classroom in Scio, OR, and 1 year of kindergarten teaching in Hermiston. Dominique is excited to teach a new grade this year and says she wants to learn how to use Lego robotics kits, as one of many projects to enhance her students' learning experience.

She holds a degree in Psychology from Western Oregon University. Originally from Pendleton, OR, Courtney loves spending time outdoors with her family and especially likes camping. To unwind after work, she enjoys shopping and hanging out with her pets. Her favorite meal is Sushi, and coffee is her drink of choice. Her previous experience includes working at an after-school program in Salem, and most recently, she had been subbing for the Morrow County School District, where she decided she loved being in the classroom so much she wanted to do it full time! Courtney is excited to fully immerse herself in the classroom and support her students’ growth. She is looking forward to implementing some fun art projects, and connecting students across the country with a Pen Pal program in her class.

We are pleased to introduce Rich Harshberger to Riverside Jr/Sr High School! Rich will be serving as an Instructional Coach for the 2023-24 school year. Rich comes with a BS in History and an MTE degree from OSU and EOU respectively. From Albany, OR, he enjoys soccer, movies, video games, reading, and grilling. Rich's favorite dinner is steak. With 16 years of experience spanning middle school and high school, Rich looks forward to getting acquainted with the staff and district. As an instructional coach, he will be utilizing his expertise to guide teachers through the Impact Cycle. Rich is excited to bring his unique blend of experiences to the Riverside community.

Originally from Hermiston, OR, Kate loves making crafts. Her drink of choice is coffee. With previous preschool teaching experience in Japan, Kate is excited to continue her teaching journey at Sam Boardman. She's eager to create classroom traditions and make learning engaging and enjoyable. Kate has a soft spot for cute, tiny things, and her unique interests will surely enrich her classroom environment.

Help us welcome a new 5th grade teacher to Windy River Elementary, Joseph Randolph! Joseph graduated from Eastern Oregon University and grew up in Hermiston, OR, and Walla Walla, WA. Joseph enjoys video games, biking, and movies. His favorite drink is Coke, and his favorite meal is ribs. Joseph spent two years as an Special Education Assistant at Rocky Heights Elementary school, and is excited about teaching 5th grade and learning new teaching skills this year. He has a unique journey that involved moving from Florida to Oregon in 2019 and traveling across the country.

He holds a Master's degree from the University of Oregon. Originally from Elkton, Oregon, Eric enjoys gardening, fishing, and travel. His favorite beverage is coffee, and his favorite food is anything Asian. Eric spent about 17 years working with the DoDEA (Department of Defense Education Activity), which eventually led him back to Oregon. He's enthusiastic about making a difference in students' lives and learning about his new teaching culture. A new activity that he’d like to learn is how to make pottery and ceramics.
